About
A home office in San Diego, with a cat supervising your books
Based in San Diego, I work out of my home office with my cat supervising your books. I specialize in ecommerce bookkeeping in Quickbooks Online, working with businesses selling on various ecommerce platforms like Amazon, Shopify, Etsy, and more. I have years of experience working with complex, high-volume ecommerce businesses, and have in-depth knowledge of processes around ecommerce workflows including multiple revenue streams, contra accounts, COGS and inventory, payment processing reports, fees, and splits, ecommerce-specific expenses, specialized COA systems, clearing accounts, loan processes, gift cards, adjustments, and custom journal entries for ecommerce workflows.
I started my business in early 2020 and have worked with hundreds of clients since then. I hold an active CPB license with NACPB, one of only two nationally-recognized US organizations offering professional bookkeeping credentials.

SERVICES
Ecommerce books are a different animal
Ecommerce bookkeeping comes with its own set of workflows, knowledge, challenges, requirements, and expertise, which makes it different from general bookkeeping. If you’ve ever worked with a general bookkeeping or accounting firm, you may have noticed that it can be difficult to scale your bookkeeping processes past a certain point of complexity, since this requires a more specialized skillset around specific ecommerce bookkeeping methods and applications.

A quick word on sales tax and payroll
Sales tax and payroll recording are included as part of bookkeeping services. Payroll processing, sales tax preparation, and remittance are not included,
as these services involve specialized compliance requirements that vary by jurisdiction. Most of my clients already have providers in place for these services, but I’d be happy to make some recommendations if you need help finding a provider.
